Sprint Race

A Sprint Race will be held prior to the regular race. The details are shaping up, but for now we have the following:

The race course will be the last 1/2 mile of regular race.

Classes for sprint are as follows

OC - 1 Recreation - single canoe - ABS or Plastic
OC - 2 Recreation- 2 person canoe - ABS or plastic
OC - 2 Mixed Recreation - Male/Female - ABS or plastic
OC - 2 Senior / JR (16 and under)
Kayak - short under 13'2" - plastic
Kayak  - open class


Special rules for sprint:

We will require a minimum of three boats in each class in order to run that class in sprint race. If minimum is not met we will place you in another class, we will have finial say as to which classes will run.

Fastest time will win class.

Top three in each class will be eligible for a trophy.

We may start more than one boat at a time depending on how many sign up for sprint.

There will be a race meeting at the Sprint Start at 9:45am. Sprint race will start at approximately 10:00am.

You will need to transport you boat yourself.

Registration fee - will pertain to sprint races and the regular race:

   $13.00 with donation of a non perishable food
   $15.00 without donation
   $7.00 any additional race

Example: if you do sprint and longer race it would be $13.00 or 15.00 for first race and $7.00 for second race. If they do more than one sprint class - another $7.00 - you can sign up for a maximum of two sprint classes and one longer race class.
